Hey guys! So today I’m gonna write about something super important that honestly I didn’t even think about until like yesterday. My thesis is that Boston has really bad urban planning, and I think this is true for a lot of reasons that I will explain in the following paragraphs that will each have a topic sentence and then supporting details. So anyways lets just get started.

First of all, Boston has bad urban planning because the roads are literally crazy. Like one time I was there with my family and we were trying to get to this parking garage and Google Maps kept saying “turn left” but then we couldnt turn left because there was a sign saying no left turn. This shows that the roads are confusing. Another reason is that the buildings aren’t in a straight line. When cities are planned normally the buildings should all go like in a grid shape but Boston is basically in a triangle shape almost. I think this is because they didn’t think ahead when they were making the city a long time ago. Also, the sidewalks are uneven which is also bad.

Another thing about the bad urban planning is that the traffic is so bad. Like every time I go there it is literally bumper to bumper and I’m sitting there thinking wow this is really bad planning. I think the problem is that they made the roads too narrow or too old. A well planned city would have highways everywhere so that people can get from point A to point B but in Boston you can’t do that. This also makes people late which is bad for the economy probably.

So, in conclusion, Boston has bad urban planning because the roads are confusing, the buildings aren’t straight, and the traffic is bad. Hopefully the city planners of Boston will read this essay and fix their problems. Thank you for reading my essay about my thesis. I hope you liked it.
